Courier Six

Characters & NPCs · Source: Fallout: New Vegas — Mojave Express courier manifests, Doc Mitchell's medical logs, and Lonesome Road add-on dialogue

Overview

RECORD: Courier Six, serial designation unknown, contracted to the Mojave Express courier service as of 2281. Designated primary asset for the Platinum Chip recovery and delivery operation originating from the Divide. Notable for surviving a point-blank 9mm round to the cranium, a survival event estimated at one in a million. Status: active, free agent.

History & Background

Pre-2281 service record is fragmentary and largely unverified; Lonesome Road incident logs establish that the subject carried a package into the Divide which activated dormant Old World warheads, destroying two settlements and reshaping the region. Employed by Robert House to recover the Platinum Chip from the Divide cache, the subject was intercepted en route by Benny at the Goodsprings Cemetery on October 19, 2281, shot, and interred in a shallow grave. Victor, a House-operated securitron, exhumed the subject and delivered them to Doc Mitchell of Goodsprings for emergency surgery.

Personality & Traits

Psychological profile is operator-defined; S.P.E.C.I.A.L. evaluation and behavioral data vary by operational record. Consistent indicators include exceptional survivability, high adaptability, and a tendency to resolve the Mojave's conflicts through direct intervention. Post-operative recovery was rapid; the subject resumed active courier duties within days of cranial surgery.

Role in the Wasteland

Holds effective veto authority over the outcome of the Second Battle of Hoover Dam in 2281. Delivery of the Platinum Chip enables installation of upgraded operating systems within the Lucky 38 securitron network, allowing the subject to award New Vegas to the NCR, Caesar's Legion, Mr. House, or to no faction at all via the Yes Man protocol. All major faction trajectories of the Mojave campaign terminate in the subject's decisions.

Notable Appearances

Fallout: New Vegas (2010), the player character; Lonesome Road add-on (2011), primary confrontation with Ulysses. No appearances outside Mojave records.
