The Mojave Wasteland

Overview
The Mojave Wasteland is the post-war Nevada landscape surrounding the intact city of New Vegas, and the setting of Fallout: New Vegas. It is a contested borderland where the New California Republic, Caesar's Legion, and the enigmatic Mr. House struggle for control of Hoover Dam and its hydroelectric power.
History & Background
The Mojave was hit far more lightly than other regions, leaving much of the desert and even parts of Las Vegas standing. After the war, tribes and communities formed across the desert; the NCR pushed east along the old highways while Caesar's Legion advanced from the east, conquering and enslaving tribes. The Second Battle of Hoover Dam in 2281 decides the region's future.
Geography & Layout
Open desert dotted with ruins and settlements such as Goodsprings, Primm, Novac, and the raider-ruled towns of the south. The Vegas Strip rises at the center with the Lucky 38 looming over it, and the Colorado River marks the eastern frontier near the dam.
Wasteland Significance
The Mojave is the series' showcase of faction politics, offering player choices that reshape the region between NCR, Legion, House, and independent rule. It is widely regarded as one of the finest examples of reactive storytelling in the franchise.
Notable Appearances
