Nellis Air Force Base

Overview
Nellis Air Force Base is a sprawling pre-war airbase in the Mojave and home to the Boomers, an isolationist tribe descended from the base's original inhabitants, featured in Fallout: New Vegas.
History & Background
The base's personnel and their families survived the war, and their descendants became the Boomers — a society obsessed with artillery, bombers, and explosives. They spent decades shelling the surrounding desert to keep outsiders away, developing a rigid, militaristic culture under elders like Pearl and Loyal. The player must earn their trust to gain their support for the Battle of Hoover Dam.
Geography & Layout
The base encompasses runways, hangars, the Nellis Array solar farm, and a museum of pre-war aircraft, all defended by an arsenal of howitzers. The Boomers' settlement is built around a restored pre-war bomber kept as a symbol of their power.
Wasteland Significance
Nellis shows how a disciplined, xenophobic society can thrive in the wasteland, and the Boomers' characterful culture makes the base one of New Vegas' most memorable locations.
